In the third decade of the new millennium, Makkah Al Mukarramah is witnessing the largest urban and economic reshaping in its modern history. This transformation goes beyond traditional urban expansion to the concept of "re-engineering the spiritual and urban experience." The vision is driven by Vision 2030, which set an ambitious goal to welcome and serve 30 million Umrah visitors by 2030, requiring massive infrastructure and superstructure projects that will radically reshape the city by 2026. What is happening in Makkah today is not merely building concrete blocks, but building an integrated services system aimed at humanizing cities and raising quality of life for residents and visitors alike, while preserving the city's authentic identity and global status.
This renaissance rests on three core pillars: first, a comprehensive upgrade of infrastructure and basic services to meet global standards; second, launching major real estate destinations such as Jabal Omar, Masar Destination, and Thakher Makkah; and third, opening real estate investment channels to foreigners and major companies through innovative legal frameworks. By 2026, many of these projects will have moved from planning and construction to full operation, placing Makkah at the forefront of the most attractive investment destinations in the region and the world.
